How to Take a Ritual Bath without a Bathtub

So you want to take a ritual bath, but you don't have a bathtub, what should you do? I was asked this question the other day, and it took me longer than I am willing to admit to come up with an answer.

After contemplating the question for a while, I came up with two solutions, and hopefully, these can help anyone who lives in apartments or doesn't have access to a bathtub.

A Ritual Footbath to Replace a Ritual Bath

Just like a standard ritual bath, gather all of your ingredients (candles, oils, crystals, and salts) and put them in the footbath (not the candles) the same way you would with a ritual bath.

The only difference is to have a bucket or pan next to you with water in it. Add the ingredients to the footbath and the bucket/pan.

When you begin the ritual bath, place your feet in the footbath. Next, use a wash towel to dip into the bucket/pan and wash your body with the wash towel.

Baby Witch Tip:

If you are a new witch and don't know what to use in your ritual bath, check out my post (How to Take a Spiritual Cleansing Bath) and scroll down to the section about what ingredients to use.

A Ritual Shower to Replace a Ritual Bath

If you don't have a bathtub but have access to a shower, you can still make this work. Take a bag, put your oils crystals and salt into it, and tie it on the showerhead.

Make sure the bag has some small holes in it so enough water will come out. Stand in the water and enjoy your ritual bath/shower.

One thing to pay attention to is the size of the crystals in the bag and your drain. Just be careful not to lose any that might be small enough to go down the drain.

If you know of another way to take a ritual bath without a bathtub, I would love to hear it. Just leave me a comment or send me an email.
